Google's Tensor inside of Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro

My old Pixel 2 still worked very well, the only reason I upgraded was I use my phone for business and the lack of security upgrades on the old phone forced me to get the new one.
I moved from a Pixel 2 to a Pixel 5 when I shattered my Pixel 2's screen and I am not a fan of gestures. It was damn right awkward and clunky at first but they work once you figure it out.
& agreed, the UI distinction between swiping up & swiping up from the bottom edge is both a pain to distinguish physically & I can never remember which is which. Swiping in from the right for back also makes tapping things on the right edge a bit of a lottery: will the UI decide I was in fact swiping in as a back gesture this time? Who knows...
Gestures are a nice idea in principle, but in practice I'm not sure that they're an improvement on actual buttons you know that you're pressing.
Maybe after a few more iterations it will be more competitive, maybe they actually get to design their own architecture or they could do the Google thing and just give up a few years from now and sunset tensor.
