How much do you give to China / The CCP?

Yeah, no thanks. Pass.

How about putting in some "typical" spending patterns as examples?

GIST o-auths with google and is approved by them so not a "random website" - we're based in San Francisco, are privacy-focused, trying to bring awareness to how the things we buy impact the world around them. What do you mean by typical spending patterns?

My startup built a tool that tells you how much of your money goes to China and the CCP.

I'm a big fan of "voting with your wallet" and think the world would be better if we all could show what we literally value vs. talking about "values." Also did an interview here: https://hackernoon.com/walter-haas-is-bringing-trust-to-onli...

This provides some much needed context.

I hope the site will eventually show some examples to mitigate that eerie feeling one gets from services that want access to our emails.

Great feedback. I wish people knew that we can't read anything besides receipts (and we don't do anything with the data besides give it back to you)!

Given the URL I was thinking that this would be hosted on a service that could run Github gists as single-page-apps. Unsurprisingly something like that actually kind of exists:

https://gist.run

Seeing that China has trillions in reserves, I sense that the piddling little amount that people might give to China/CCP would make negligible difference.
