How to bring sex work out of the shadows

Sex work is in the shadows because those who do it feel the need to hide because of social stigma.

In theory you could completely sidestep the legalization/decriminalization debate and straight up give social status to sex workers.

How many pornstars have been elected to hold public office?

None. If one were to check I am sure the most frequent profession for somebody who has been elected to hold public office is either lawyer or physician.
