The Metaverse is the Web

> I predict right now that by 2030, there will be successful metaverse companies, one of which might very well be Facebook. Another is Epic Games. Amazon and Microsoft are others who have the technical might to capitalize on this paradigm shift in how we work, play, and socialize.

Absolutely correct. I also predict this as well as the solution to the iPhone and its walled gardens [0]. Anyone who dislikes the Apple and Google 30% taxes will partner with Meta or the other metaverse-related companies.

I won't be surprised to see this challenge the iOS and Android (then soon Fuchsia) ecosystem of apps and games and to move to the metaverse-related companies accessed via some form of smart glassess.

They are first going to do this with games. Then the apps will follow and those apps will finally be built as PWAs.

It is a plan to challenge the iPhone and Apple's resistance to supporting PWAs on the App Store and Google's Play Store.

At its core, creating a closed system for an open community is destructive. Even the fact that a "blurred" frequently used concept - meta - is chosen does not make him a leader. It seems to me that Mark missed this time.

In 2017, I analyzed a lot of startups based on blockchain technologies. I saw that most of them publicly declare decentralization, in fact leaving the management of the "main algorithm" to the owner of the idea. This is inadequate to the existing demand of a free society!
