You can install Firefox Focus and select that as an adblocker for Safari. Alternatively, DuckDuckGo has an iOS browser with built-in adblocker.

According to they AppStore description, DuckDuckGo only blocks trackers. Doesn’t say anything about adblocking.

Downloading and running ad code costs more money than just paying and installing an ad blocker, especially since they're incredibly cheap if not free.
