Yep, people seem to forget history. The polio vaccine had issues when it was rolled out in 1955. No one bats an eye taking it today because it saves lives.

There is certainly a subculture that rejected vaccines in general long before covid.
It saved lives in 1955. No one bats an eye taking it today because we know it's safe.
