It's an important case, since the huge award might encourage malicious lawsuits in the future. It's sobering to learn just how bad on technical issues a case can be and still win: HouseCanary's own expert witness testified that Amrock's model did not have any of their own code in it and nothing HouseCanary actually ahared with Amrock could have been useful in building the product they did.
