Hiring Managers are Enraged at Trend of Job Seekers "Ghosting" Them

Our local school district is having a hard time retaining teachers, and one of the principals told a friend that they only have 6 substitutes available for the whole district right now.
The substitutes end up getting paid at a higher rate (near double IIRC) because teachers are also setting more boundaries about the prep work they're willing to do for subs.
One thing that's really unfortunate about this is that admin staff are filling random teaching roles as opposed to their normal leadership duties. So it's forcing leadership to act in short-sighted ways. This then hurts the students, when a problem that needed leadership-style attention, school-wide, is neglected and results in a less healthy or less safe environment for the students.
(I wonder if a similar effect is happening in business, for example with the CEO skipping vital leadership practices because they need to edit copy on the website, etc.)
Then turnabout is fair play.

OP could consider changing the title of the submission to that...
