You're the one who has to care so much that other people disagree with you and hurl insults, that you leave a place.
There's all kinds of people in this world. So long as your worldview doesn't involve genuine malicious intent, who can crucify you?
I hold some unpopular opinions and expressing them has gotten me insulted and dogpiled-on, on more than one occasion.
That's other people's problem.
If you know that you're a good person, and your personal philosophy stems from this, you've no need to give in to mob demands or go back on your public sentiments.
Let them scream all they want, never compromise your integrity or moral standards, and never back down.
This is how they get the idea you can shout people into backing down in the first place.

The internet is fake and if someone physically stalks + attacks you, just shoot and kill them. You're sort of asking for it.
I really don't have a lot of empathy for people telling sob stories about the internet being mean to them.
