Sony Patent Lets Viewers Vote and Pay to Boot Players from Games

I find this amusing because my son went through a phase where, instead of playing the "outer" online game, he was playing the "kick" game where the goal was to trick players into kicking other players.

He kept good notes (even filed tickets on the comment page of players he kicked) and could show that he had a kick-to-kicked ratio greater than 12. Victims had the hardest time figuring out what was going on, even when they were told explicitly.

This is crap. Kids will learn to pathologically compete in gaming instead of having fun.
