A few thoughts on Steam and its ban on NFTs

If I trade the NFT for my game skin on a marketplace, how would the in-game transfer happen? (so that I can or cannot use the skin I just traded)

Would games be required to interop with and query blockchains?

If users can turn in game assets I to real world fiat, does the game or platform become an exchange requiring compliance with the regulation therein?
