Former U.S. president Donald Trump launches 'TRUTH' social media platform

>“We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced. This is unacceptable,"

"Silenced," says the celebrity via press release covered by mainstream media regarding the launch of his own personal social media platform. The chilling effect... it's real.

"DWAC currently has $293 Million in trust, assuming minimal redemptions, which can fuel TMTG’s scale up, including to provide world class leading technology services to build strong and secure social networks and diverse media offerings"

Not a bad seed round.

They didn’t have the guts to just call it Pravda

Won't be surprised to see them use some form of blockchain-related or decentralised technology on the platform, given that everyone knows that they are already going to get banned by several web services they use on launch to keep it running.

I don't care what happens, but we'll see soon enough and that is where it is going.

lol, how is this different from his last 3 attempts? (his shitty blog, his twitter misadventures, and his sad failed command of the whitehouse.gov website. . . )

It's just Mastodon.

"Truth" doesn't sound trendy for a social network name.

All the "snail mail" addresses (Data Protection Officer, GDPR requests, other legal contacts) on the TMTG Corp and Truth Social websites lead to Mar-a-Lago:

1100 South Ocean Blvd. Palm Beach, FL 33480

I guess they're not being coy about who's holding all the reigns.

Looks like it needs a drivers license to register so I doubt it will attract many annonymous twitter people and young people in general, but it could make a dent on the Facebook boomer generation and older "deplorable"-americans in general.
