I think the article is a bit deceptive, and quite unfair and one-sided in general. (Though it is correct in pointing out that Zuckerberg uses his metrics strategically.)

For example, here's a quote used in the article: "We may action as little as 3-5% of hate … on Facebook." The more complete version of the quote (from [1]) is this:

> "we estimate that we may action as little as 3-5% of hate and about 6-tenths of 1% of V & I [violence and incitement] on Facebook despite being the best in the world at it."

So Wired has removed the slightly positive part for expedience and narrative cohesion.

Best in the world at it compared to whom? Twitter? A few other companies that suck at this as well?

In other words, around 5% of hate messages were actioned. Of those 5%, about 4% were identified by AI, and 1% by responding to direct reports of abuse.

Facebook is the whipping boy for the establishment media and other tech organizations because... it doesn't censor enough? Oh, more likely because it's a closed ecosystem that is seperate from, rather than integrated into the other ad driven web model businesses, and is in fact competitive with it. Doesn't mean Facebook is "the good guy," but who still believes the motivations behind these attacks are protecting people?

Hate Speech != bigotry.

Hate Speech = Speech the people in power hate. Which may include bigotry right now, but maybe not later.

Why does the media hate the speech on facebook? That's the place revealing their lies.

Do you mean bigotry? Everyone agrees we need to end bigotry. When we find a valid solution to that problem we will implement it.

Hate speech is not bigotry. The definition of hate speech is speech that someone hates. Your 1 sentence could be considered hate speech by some group. Should you be prevented from saying it?

Bigotry is over, we know the solution. Today is the least bigoted day in the history of north america.

What you are experiencing and why you think bigotry hasn't ended is the false narrative. It's a narrative in which intersectionalists are pushing. The end goal is not equality or egalitarianism but rather creating a new caste system where they are at the top.
