I graduated very recently. It's pretty bad at this point. At least for the campuses and students I'm familiar with, students feel that "conservative" is unequivocally synonymous with racist.

I'm not saying every student, but certainly the vocal majority of the campus. The outspoken and activist portion. Hell, some of my friend groups. But I've learned to just tune out political discussions in those.
