This looks completely useless. What's the point?

From the accompanying video:

"The goal is to give unprecedented walking ability and to solve problems posed by hybrid locomotion".

The idea that this is a bipedal robot is a joke. Makes you realize how ungrounded some of these research labs are - all hype, no substance.

This is a drone with a huge amount of weight for these "bipedal legs".
