U.S. Is in Recession If History of Consumer Sentiment Repeats

Non-pandemic history is a bad predictor of pandemic future.

Consumer sentiment is likely artificially lowered by anxiety about the Delta surge. It took many people by surprise, and it's may be hard to believe the pandemic will really "end" now.

The ongoing labor shortage should tell us that the economy is still doing well.
