I am reminded of something I noticed recently on the decentralized cryptocurrency platforms. Many, probably most, have Javascript that live-updates statistics. You can watch the tend thousandths of a cent place go up in "real time". Many such tickers aren't even showing any real data. Just a counter incrementing. And don't for forget all the fancy art! It's very heavily
gameified: flashy, one click, instant reward.
Looks like more mainstream apps are getting in the game game too.
