Agreed, I have a M1 mini sitting around doing mostly nothing and I'd love to use it to contribute to the project but I'm not a developer so I don't know where to start. I am definitely looking forward to the mentioned installer release so I can try it out myself though. I can believe the hype about how blazing fast it is on the desktop even in software rendering, given how powerful a Linux VM on Parallels can be on it. It rivals my Ryzen 5 3600 machine and even surpasses it in some metrics, and that runs Linux bare metal.
