I would.
What does that say about the users? FB isn't creating any of this harmful content.
If FB should be accountable for delivering and promoting the posts, shouldn't the users be accountable for publishing them? Where's the movement to shut down the Kardashians who are also billionaires from toxic posts of their own intentional creation, and who are doing it on many different platforms?

100% true. We can hate on FB/Insta as much we want. But the underlying problem is the users who create “toxic” content and the public who are intentionally spending significant amounts of time on these non-life-crucial platforms.
We need an open protocol for content distribution so that if my friends want to use FB/Insta clients to post their photos/videos from their phone, I can subscribe and respond to that content or DM people from whichever client I choose, like not needing to wade through a sea of manipulative ads (propaganda). We should've had an optional extension to something like email, which includes a lookup like people find various acquaintances on FB/Insta. We already use our emails to sign up for these services...
Open protocols do not solve toxic content posted by people that users want to follow. These are societal ills, only magnified by global social networks. By hating on FB/Insta, we do not solve the issue that people aspire to unrealistic body standards, rampant materialism, or comparative anxiety.
