I think we lost the fun. Unless you have a very fun job, being a 10x dev for too long gets boring.
Being a 1x dev can be comfy and balanced, and I'll save myself for when there's a project that comes along that captures my imagination and makes me feel young again.
Instead, we make boring websites and crappy web APIs, and if that's not boring enough, we also have to make a crappy little docker file and integrate with the local CI.
Oh, don't forget to file the release notes in Jira, and close out those little SCRUM tickets.
