A museum pays $84,000 for blank canvases, the art named 'Take the Money and Run'

The artist and the museum are in dispute over the purpose of the funding and the work delivered, although I suspect its the kind of dispute which resolves if the value of the work can be confirmed by the wider community participation.

On the whole, I think contracts-for-art are tricky. If you drive too hard, you get underwear on the sistine chapel. if you don't drive hard enough you get conceptual art that might not even exist.
