Customers don't really care what technologies a company uses. If a customer uses modern web browser the product must work. Period.

Not really, no. Whether or not only supporting Webkit for the time being is a good idea depends only on theor goals and nothing else.

It doesn't really support webkit either. It also rejects my Android cellphone's browser, which is 100% webkit-based.
