This is noteworthy in that China releasing the Canadians simultaneously with Canada's release of the Huawei exec effectively demonstrates that they were arrested in retaliation.

I don't know how doing direct business with China can be defended at this point. Acting in bad faith, throwing innocent people in jail for fictional espionage while their citizen hangs out in her mansion in Vancouver is pretty unreal.
