Forever maintenance sounds absurd.
"Right-to-maintain" seems much better, like "please, release blueprints and sdks, allowing users to run community powered update systems"
I mean, I already wonder what will happen when Square Enix will pull life support to "Rise of the Tomb Raider"'s "endurance mode" servers. A whole game mode made useless.
It would be nice if community could patch the game and point it towards different servers maintained by community.
Same for PS3 store, why can't I download and run arbitrary software on the console?
