Title is a bit off. They want to force all electronic devices that have a charging port to have this charging port adhere the usb-c standard. There's a specific exception for e-readers and ... wireless charging.

So what Apple (and others) can (and probably will) do is continue with the port(s) they have now, just dont have that port be a charging port, and charge wireless.
