It's ironic how we have too much CO2, and yet not enough.

I'm sure I am in the minority and this is just pure fantasy, but I would love to see all the high fructose corn syrup drinks vanish. Should that occur it should be obvious on the T2D stats within a few years.
A side effect of energy shortages? (CO2 is a byproduct of fertilizer production using natgas which has spiked in price across the EU)
Or is it due to brexit cutting UK off from the EU?
It appears to be caused by the former and compounded by the latter.
Which is ironic considering that Johnson campaigned for Brexit by saying it would lead directly to lower energy bills.

Paywalled, but can't they use nitrogen instead. I like the bubbles better with nitrogen.
Nitrogen merely dissolves in water; CO2 forms carbonic acid, which (a) alters the flavor and (b) lets you cram more in at a lower pressure. Swapping it out would give you a fairly different drink.
