The crazy amount of tech money has really made some of the other high paying fields less lucrative. The same folks that are top doctors could have spent significantly less of their life just cramming leet code knowledge instead of medical knowledge and come out with more money and better life balance
Very few doctors are in it strictly for the money.
And it's not like the crazy hours are necessary in any way other than to create a cutthroat competition for artificially limited residency spots. Why has the AMA decided to destroy the health of those whose job it is to preserve the health of others?
