Drum Juggling

The Flying Karamazov Brothers did real drum juggling but I can’t find a proper video outside of part of this compilation. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xVG8FBIW_iA

They would bounce juggle a large foot piano and wear electronic drums on their back hitting it with clubs. Quite a sight.

Edit: some additional percussive juggling starting at the 4 min mark of this video https://vimeo.com/264353589

Edit 2: proper video of my initial comment with the shoulder mounted drums. https://youtu.be/NFUQyJD9RK8

As I recall when I saw them live back in the 90's they did that. They also used a xylophone while juggling the batons.

Did you ever see the Live from Lincoln Center they did an adaptation of "A Comedy of Errors" by Shakespeare?

They were a very creative bunch for their time.

That show is on youtube! I found it years ago and put it there to try and help more people find it.

That's kinda what I was expecting, but honestly my first thought was that the drums would be in the air!

This would be quite neat if the music was actually being generated by the juggling, but it doesn't seem to be?

The website gave a misleading title. It's called "bounce juggling" everywhere else, including on the juggler Kateryna Nikiforova 's own website.

Yeah, I would agree that the drum bit is misleading here. Maybe bouncing balls to music? Still very impressive juggling.

Completely digital, but this might be of interest : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxDoO9oODOk

by digital, you mean animated.

The only real one I know of is Wintergatan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvUU8joBb1Q

Thats impressive!

Intel actually made robots do it: https://youtu.be/E4hjx3_A-cw

But Martin is definitely my favorite.

Maybe this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1NxuK2pAQE

A street performer playing the drums by throwing the sticks. It's actually a very simple drum pattern, but the thythm is mint :)

Reminds me of Michael Moschen's Triangle piece.

Would it be OK to flag this because it's not at all drum juggling? Or should I be happy that someone commented better links?

I enjoyed the video but I'm mostly upvoting this because this is such a great website to share with the kids. Thanks.

A robot is going to take her job.

"hacker" "news"

Yes, exactly. This is some reddit stuff, doesn't belong on the site.

Number one story is the lumber price crash. This is as much a curiosity as that is.
