The sendmail "debug" thing wasn't a security issue until someone talked about it either, right? If only it hadn't been disclosed the RTM worm would never have happened...

This is like saying "if we don't talk about the bad things they never happened." Stories like this are weaponized nonsense; "the problem exists because of the people saying it exists"

If the system were open to experts that could vet it, and the security of all steps verified by real security experts, this wouldn’t be a story. These systems have been hugely problematic since they were first rolled out by other companies years ago, with unverifiable voting and counting. Dominion only looks like a good guy because Trump and Co. went after them.
