Code Academy is a 12-week program that teaches people how to build web applications.

Most people read books, try tutorials, attend workshops, and spend lots of time (and $$$) without the structure and support to make sure what they learn sticks - Code Academy fills these gaps. We empower people to take the ideas in their head and make them a reality through software.

For applicants, Code Academy is a game changer for their career.

First class begins Oct. 3 in downtown Chicago, only 12 spots are open. Join the builders movement and apply today.

Layout peeve, the vertical fit on your home page is not good on a 1200px high monitor when the browser is spanning the available area. One possible fix - the section with the apply button could afford to scale down a bit and "learn build solve" could afford to scale down a bit further.

Endorsement text is problematic; does not specifically refer to CA. Also "could've, would've" phrasing is maybe not the best pitch. You're not selling to people who have regrets about how hard they had it back in the day. You're selling to people who haven't learned it yet.

It is not immediately apparent that this is an on-site thing in Chicago. My assumption was that it was another online paid tutorial site. Yes, it says "Downtown Chicago" above the "Apply now" button. No, it is not perceptually visible, and it needs to be since this is a critical constraint. The book "Designing with the Mind in Mind" gives a great overview of some of these issues.

Hey very good idea, I've always thought to do that by myself, ie posting several ads to teach how to program. But I was actually thinking of giving course for some specific programming languages. Early bird price should go to the first page?

Hey @gnocchi - that's actually a great idea. We're implementing your suggestion as we speak! Thanks for that.
