I wouldn't say cautious. The current situation is like a runaway car down a slight slope, with a person trying to stop it with their bare hands.

IDK about'fortress', Australia is actively fragmenting. The only way to "live with covid" will mean Aboriginal communities (and all other vulnerable people) have no choice but to cut themselves off. Thankfully I live in NZ.

Morrison is the worst kind of leader, presiding over the breakup of his nation.

First time when I saw the headline "Fortress Australia" I thought not about defending from something but about prisoners who are inside that fortress desperate to break free.

I wonder how many people in Australia after COVID pandemic will still trust their government and choose not to stay and instead sell their property and move to UK or US or maybe to your homeland New Zealand.
