Ask HN: What have you automated around the house?

I've been tinkering with HomeAssistant and ESP8266s to

- control our garage door via HA

- integrate our offline stereo receiver with Spotify

- automate our outdoor irrigation using a solenoid valve and HA automation

It's immensely satisfying and really fun.
