Most here probably don't remember the KIM-1 -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KIM-1

I remember well enough. I still have early UK microcomputer magazines from about 1978 onwards.

We knew computing would be transformative. But very few really recognised to what extent this would be.

One of my first computers was the Rockwell AIM-65, which was an expanded version of the KIM-1.

The AIM-65 got me started in Assembler language programming and hardware design with the 6502.

Many happy memories.

I remember using a 6809 emulator that ran on the 6809, similar to this project which includes a 6502 emulator running on a 6502. Never saw anything as cool in the emulator category until VMWare was released 20 years later.

That's pretty cool. The first computing experience I remember is playing Hunt the Wumpus with my dad using a KIM-1 when I was little. Might have to try it out again, 40 years later.

The First Book of KIM Wumpus uses the LEDs and it might be a little slow on this. However, a TTY version would probably work perfectly.
