Browsing the Web in 2021

My most effective strategy is to abandon quickly sites which make demands or purposely inconvenience me.
It's just like people and businesses. I wouldn't hang out with someone rude and obnoxious. I wouldn't keep working with a company whose practices were questionable in the past.
So why would I go out of my way to read some typically low-value content from a resource designed to be hostile or which tells me my browser isn't good enough?
I wouldn't. I would just close the tab and eventually remember not to open links from there anymore.
Whenever I adopted this no-tolerance strategy, the Web became infinitely more pleasant and welcoming. At the same time, the average quality of content I get has improved dramatically.
I think there is a correlation between shitty content and shitty site construction.

And that about sums up browsing the web in 2021.
