Stern’s Pinball Machines Are Getting Gaming Console Features

I really miss video arcades. Walking in and being accosted by the lights and sounds and darkness was a great experience. Maybe this development will make arcades a thing again. I can see this being gamified by Stern; "Play pinball in 100 venues to get a silver coin", "Play 1,000 games to win a gold coin", etc.

Back in the day (late 90's?) SNK (I think) allowed some sort of game save on a card. I also remember being able to use a code on some games (Hydro Thunder?) which gave you a profile of sorts. But I think it was limited to that single machine and not networked.
