This tool created by a friend of mine out of the frustration of not having a proper Vim-like keybinding in PDF viewers.

The main point of this app is a simple modification to PDF.js that support (kind of) smooth scrolling for j/k keys.

Today, if compare this to Firefox's built-in PDF viewer, hitting j/k in this app will scroll vertically but keep the horizontal scroll position, while Firefox's PDF viewer will jump the page horizontally as well to show fully each page, I think this is a good point.

Have you tried zathura? https://pwmt.org/projects/zathura/

Yes I mainly use Zathura when I was on Linux, now that I switched to a M1 Mac Mini, I could not find a way to make Zathura works any more :( something wrong with freeglut, it keep failing with "Could not open display" error.
