I think Intel is shipping every chip they can make at 14 nm? They are selling more chips than ever before. If they could get newer designs and processes out that would be nice, to but I don't think they are sitting on production capacity. I don't have a source, other than their financials. The problem is Intel makes chips for Intel and nobody else. Sure they are starting to open up again.. but there are only so many use cases for x86 cpus.

Like literally every single chip that is in shortage is something Intel does not and will not make.. well they do have Altera but still..

Intel's been deep into their own shortage for years, because 10nm was almost unusable for most of its life. 2020 just brought everyone to their level, it didn't give them an advantage.
