4k Free Movies Online

Four thousand movies, not movies in 4k resolution.

I don't see why this is flagged. Is there some kind of convention that in the context of movies "k" must only be used in terms of resolution - but only if it's a well-know resolution? So "5k" movies will be ok to refer to 5000 movies but not "4k" or "8k" movies?

In fact the list contains many interesting movies, for instance Tarkovsky movies such as Solaris, The Mirror and Stalker. Or a film by Peter Greenaway about Darwin.

I am skeptical about the licensing, though, because many movies are probably not free. Also some on Youtube are "not available" (to me?). For instance "Fargo" is most likely not free.

These are "Movies" in the sense that they're moving pictures, not necessarily feature-length films with >$1M budget - for example, this 14 minute movie titled Herbert White[0]. They do all seem to be hosted on YouTube, though, and the few I clicked on were all public domain, so there shouldn't be much illegal about them.

First thing I discovered is "Crash: The Short Film" – "Otherwise known as The Atrocity Exhibition, this pre-Cronenberg short film was directed by Harley Cokeliss and stars J.G. Ballard himself. (1971)"

I didn't even know this existed.

Not surprised it's a clickbait title. Seems more and more posts are clickbait here.

A bit clickbaity headline, since the linked page clearly says:

"4,000+ Free Movies Online ..."

clickbait. misleading title.
