Grep.app: search across a half million Git repos

The title does not give this enough credit. I was incredibly impressed by its speed(I'm used to Hound[1] at work) it felt almost instant.

This is very impressive. My problem with GitHub search is the fact that the long trail of the search results is endless. Someone included a library? 50 pages of results of the same thing.

This is amazing!! Super fast, I can actually enter symbols, search case-sensitively, I love it!

What is the search based on? Lucene?

This was faster than LogSearch at my work where we have < 60 repos, great work!
