I like how the title suggests they are filmed, yet the poster image displayed when the link is followed clearly shows a digital camera that does not use film.

Not sure why the key word "How" was dropped from the submitted title.

What do you call films made with digital cameras?

This was my point with the submitted title. As written, it was a declaritive statement saying "are filmed". If it used the actual title of "how they are filmed", I would not have an issue.

If the images you are acquiring on a digital camera are to be used in a film project, then I'm okay with calling that "filming" as that's just the industry vernacular. Even the project itself being a film shot digitally is still a "film project". nuances, pet peeves, etc.

As others have said you can call them movies or videos, but I think the actual question is what's the verb to use for making a digital movie? "How Mushroom Time-Lapses Are Movied" sound strange. "How Mushroom Time-Lapses Are Videoed" isn't too bad.

Movie, etc.[0]

Your link says:

However, the act of shooting images with other visual media, such as with a digital camera, is still called "filming" and the resulting works often called "films" as interchangeable to "movies," despite not being shot on film.

movies? videos?

The dropping of “how” is HN’s helpful title mangler at work.

Very annoying, I thought I'd simply be watching time lapsed videos of mushrooms

Ok, I've fixed it to drop fewer hows and restored the correct title above.

At 9 seconds in you can see film cameras.

I'm aware of the contents of the video. I have been a fan of Mr. Schwartzberg for quite some time.

Kind of missed the point: Should of picked a better poster frame

OK, I understand.
