Solar Domes Could Desalinate Seawater at a Commercial Scale

I am skeptical of solar domes.

While the facility cost of couse has all the sense, indoor agriculture does not need that much water to begin with.

And as every large thing around, it will still be a substantial construction cost.

While it surely beats every other desal method on energy efficiency per unit of space (covering an equal size of land with solar panels, and then using electricity for RO will be less efficient,) other costs are still there.
