In short Vox thinks Fluvoxamine is better because it requires a prescription, whereas Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine can be obtained from the vets or at the chemists without a prescription.
You really don’t need to look for a conspiracy angle like Vox is the mouthpiece of the illuminati or something. Just read the article for the explanation and the preprint if you want more details. The difference here is that this was used in a fairly large trial and actually showed a real result, whereas once HCQ was actually trialed it didn’t show a result. (I can’t speak for Ivermectin because I haven’t followed that one, if there’s a sizable trial with positive results post it.)
Fluvoxamine and the SSRIs in general are actually used as antidepressants and behaviour modulators in dogs and cats among other mammals, with similar effect to humans; improving sociability, increasing healthy reward-seeking behaviours, and reducing irritability. So your can probably get it from your local vet. (Don't get ideas.)
