To clarify: This is people with a “total and permanent disability”. This isn’t your regular working class person getting a free education just because.

It's also an average of $18k per person. Which in the grand scheme of things for government budgets isn't a lot.

And I guess I'm happier to see a bailout go to these people then corporations or Banks. I guess it's still kind of a backhanded Bank bailout because it's a loan forgiveness.

Who's paying for this? Banks? Schools? U.S. Treasury?

The citizens, it's always the citizens. If they bill the schools for this, the schools just raised tuitions. If they tell the banks to forgive the money the banks turn around and require a bailout from the government. It's just the same idea of saying we should raise taxes on Walmart or some other big corporation as if they do anything but pass the cost through to the consumer. If you pay taxes you're paying for this.

Its the same folks who paid the big banks in 2008
