Two thousand Covid-19 deaths per day predicted by October 2021

I am currently in a place where masks are not mandatory anymore, but I still always use one.

I noticed in the report:

"If universal mask coverage (95%) were attained in the next week, our model projects 50,000 fewer cumulative reported deaths compared to the reference scenario on December 1."

Does anybody know on what data, experiments or references are these inferences made ?
