Biden braces for brutal defeat in Afghanistan

> Can we use this moment when people are asking "What did 20 years of war accomplish?" to demand major cuts in the Pentagon budget? I'm perfectly happy with the decision that we shouldn't occupy other people's nations forever.

It is interesting to see how hard the corporate media is pushing the notion that abandoning a forever war that has accomplished nothing is somehow a huge failing.

This is going to be one of the most defining tragedies of this decade, apart from COVID-19.

Well somebody did a deal first with the Taliban and then withdrew the US troops out of Afghanistan?

Of course, this has been happening slowly over five to six years. I do not deny that. But irrespective of who you support, it is still a tragedy.
