Where government's steered economy can be highly hazardous, dictatorial regime's absolute economic control is always disastrous.

That being said, this is probably a good thing in the long term, while China's foreseeable shorter term economic fallout will certainly become the source of great suffering for the world's population, not just China's, as well as the source of amazing new opportunities.
