FastCompany claims the average American spends 19 hours/day staring at a screen

Surely this stat can't be correct:

Clicking through to the source I can only assume that their survey subjects must be looking at TV screens, laptops and gaming devices concurrently. 19 hours a day would mean looking at some sort of screen in the shower and sleeping only 5 hours a day.
