Expecting billionaires to solve this problem seems crazy. This is for countries to solve and the state to work on. As with all things that are a collective responsibility, getting anything to happen js very very hard.

So private tech industry can solve the Space race but not wildfire?

Fires are a symptom, making a hard problem even more difficult. Having climate change managed by the whims of the ultra rich seems a risky move.

I guess we will find out if private industry can solve it.
