Design an experiment for "multiply"

Divide is firmly embedded: social constructs in animals routinely sub-divide the food in some manner. And, we know social smart animals understand "fair" so equal sub-parts should be easy.

But multiply, with some specificity.. I think thats harder.

And then power ratio. I am sure Birds "get" it innately because flight has non-linear qualities (application of gravity) but in a non-flight context.. I can't think of a nonlinear thing to apply this to to test for cognition.

Funny concept, this made me think that any living organism is aware of NIL, therefore it's opposite. Also, counting and using numbers sounds quite absurd. I would pose the question on what numerical bases they "rely/behave/cognate/?".
