I wonder if it's impossible/unlikely for the other great apes to evolve the capabilities and brain structures described.
Those characteristics that we have, likely evolved in tandem with our use of them, through mutual feedback/reinforcement. We evolved, creating a world that's hospitable to more evolution in similar directions.
We now have the world that humans could and have built with those characteristics.
There may no longer be physical and evolutionary space for the other great apes to similarly evolve, and create the world that they might have, and the mutual feedback between that world and their evolution.
We were first movers.
Speaking from ignorance, of course.
